What is a personalised notebook?
A personalised notebook is a hardback notebook with your own printed cover design. It can be branded with a logo, pattern, illustration, photograph, campaign design or personal artwork.

What size is the notebook?
The notebook is A5 size, which is 148mm x 210mm. This is a popular size because it is portable while still giving enough space for comfortable writing.

How many pages are included?
Each notebook includes 192 pages, which is 96 leaves.

What paper is used inside?
The inner pages are printed on 100gsm uncoated paper. This gives a natural writing surface suitable for everyday notes, journalling, sketching and planning.

What inner page styles are available?
You can choose lined, dotted or plain pages. Lined pages are best for structured notes, dotted pages work well for bullet journalling or flexible layouts, and plain pages are useful for sketching or free writing.

What is the line spacing on the lined pages?
The lined notebook option uses approximately 7mm spacing, giving comfortable room for neat handwriting.

Do I need to supply artwork for the inner pages?
No. The inner pages are supplied as your chosen standard style: lined, dotted or plain. You only need to provide artwork for the outer cover unless a custom inner layout has been specifically requested.

Can I personalise the cover?
Yes. The outer cover can be personalised with your own artwork, branding, colours, logo, message or design.

How should the cover artwork be supplied?
The cover should be supplied as one complete outer cover spread, including the back cover, spine and front cover. Use the correct template so the design sits correctly once wrapped around the hard cover.

Can I add foil or Spot UV to the cover?
Yes. Gold foil, silver foil and Spot UV can be added to selected cover areas. These finishes work best on simple details such as logos, initials, names, lines, icons and patterns.

What is Spot UV?
Spot UV is a clear glossy finish applied to specific parts of the cover design. It creates contrast against the laminated cover and helps selected details stand out.

What are gold and silver foil finishes?
Foil adds a metallic finish to selected cover details. It is often used for logos, titles, initials, names or premium design elements.

What cover finish should I choose?
Matt gives a smooth, understated finish. Gloss creates a brighter, more reflective result. Soft-touch has a softer, premium feel. The best option depends on the design and how the notebooks will be used.

Do the notebooks include a ribbon marker?
Yes. Each notebook includes a black ribbon page marker.

Who are personalised notebooks suitable for?
They are suitable for staff gifts, client gifts, branded giveaways, event packs, conferences, workshops, schools, creative projects, retail products and everyday office stationery.

Can I order different cover designs?
Multiple artwork versions may be possible depending on the order setup. This is useful for teams, departments, events, named notebooks or campaign variations.

Which pens work best?
Most everyday pens work well on the 100gsm uncoated inner pages. Fine-tip pens and standard biros are a practical choice for regular writing.

Can I design the cover in Canva?
Yes. Export your artwork as a PDF Print file with crop marks and bleed selected. Canva artwork is usually RGB, so colours may change slightly when converted for print.

Do I need bleed and crop marks?
Yes. Please include bleed and crop marks on your print-ready PDF. Any background colours, images or artwork that run to the edge should extend into the bleed area.

What resolution should my images be?
Images should ideally be 300dpi at final printed size. Low-resolution images may appear blurry or pixelated when printed.

Will colours print exactly as they look on screen?
Not always. Screens display colour in RGB, while print uses CMYK. Some colour variation is normal, especially with bright colours, Pantones, spot colours or RGB artwork.

Can SM1 check my artwork before print?
Yes. We can check supplied artwork and flag obvious print issues. If your file needs correction, design work or print-ready setup, we can quote for artwork support.
