Does the tablecloth include a table?
No. This product is a custom-printed fabric tablecloth only. You will need to provide the dimensions of the table it will cover. If you require a complete display with a folding table and fitted graphic, choose the Stretch Tablecloth with 6ft Trestle Table.

What measurements do I need to provide?
For a rectangular table, measure its length, width and height. You should also decide how far you want the fabric to hang below the tabletop on each side. For a circular table, provide the tabletop diameter, table height and required drop length.

What does drop length mean?
The drop length, sometimes called the overhang, is the distance the tablecloth hangs from the edge of the tabletop towards the floor. A drop of approximately 150–200mm is suitable for many seated tables. Exhibition tables often use a longer front and side drop to provide more branding space and hide items stored underneath.

How do I calculate the size for a rectangular tablecloth?
Add twice the required drop length to both the table length and table width.

For example, a table measuring 2,000 × 1,000mm with a 150mm drop on every side would require:

• Finished length: 2,000 + 300mm = 2,300mm
• Finished width: 1,000 + 300mm = 1,300mm
• Tablecloth size: 2,300 × 1,300mm

How do I calculate the size for a circular tablecloth?
Add twice the required drop length to the diameter of the tabletop.

For example, a 1,500mm diameter table with a 150mm drop would require a circular tablecloth measuring 1,800mm in diameter.

Circular tablecloths require a shape-cut finish.

What size should I order for a 6ft trestle table?
A common 6ft trestle table measures approximately 1,800mm wide × 740mm deep × 725mm high.

For this table with a 600mm drop, a commonly ordered tablecloth size is 3,000 × 1,940mm. Check your actual table dimensions before ordering, as different models can vary.

Can the front drop be longer than the back?
Yes. A longer front drop can provide more branding space and hide the table legs, while a shorter rear drop gives staff easier access to items stored underneath. Provide the table dimensions and required drop for each side so the finished size and artwork position can be calculated correctly.

Can I have rounded corners?
Yes. Rectangular tablecloths normally have right-angled corners, but rounded corners are also available. Rounded corners can reduce fabric gathering around the corners of the table. The minimum corner radius is 300mm. State the required radius when ordering.

Can you produce circular or unusually shaped tablecloths?
Yes. Circular and other bespoke shapes are available. Supply the required dimensions and, where possible, a diagram showing the shape. Complex shapes may require a bespoke quote and dedicated artwork guide.

Can the whole tablecloth be printed?
Yes. Logos, background colours, patterns and images can be printed across the full surface, including the top and hanging sections. Keep important text and logos away from hems, corners and folds where they may be less visible when the cloth is placed on the table.

Can the tablecloth be used outdoors?
Yes, for temporary outdoor displays in suitable conditions. Secure the tablecloth appropriately and bring it inside during strong winds, heavy rain or adverse weather. Allow the fabric to dry completely before folding or storing it.

Is the fabric fire-rated?
Yes. Display/Stretch Polyester is M1/B1 fire-rated for use at UK and European exhibitions and events. If your venue requires certification, let SM1 know when ordering.

Will light show through the fabric?
Some show-through may be visible if the tablecloth is positioned directly in front of a strong light source. This is normal for this type of fabric.

How should I clean and store the tablecloth?
The fabric is washable. Follow the supplied care guidance and allow it to dry completely before folding or storing. Tablecloths are supplied folded, so some creasing may be present when first unpacked. Light creases should reduce when the cloth is laid out and may be carefully ironed out if required.

Can I create the artwork in Canva?
Canva may be suitable for a simple rectangular tablecloth, provided the required artwork dimensions are supported. Large sizes, circular designs and layouts with different drop lengths may be more difficult to prepare accurately. Contact SM1 before starting. We can confirm the required document size or help prepare your design as print-ready artwork.

Can SM1 check or design my artwork?
Yes. SM1 can check your supplied files and advise if corrections are required. We can also create a complete tablecloth design using your branding, logos, messaging and event information. Artwork adjustments and design services may be chargeable. Any costs will be confirmed before work begins.
