Which size should I choose?
The 850mm and 1,000mm widths work well as individual display towers. The 2,000mm and 3,000mm versions provide a larger backdrop for exhibition stands, retail areas and event spaces. Choose the 2,250mm standard height for most venues. The 2,400mm extended option provides additional height where the venue permits it. Always check the available floor space, ceiling height and exhibition restrictions before ordering.

What is included?
Each system includes the white modular frame, fitted LED lights and power adapter, power-linking cables, an approximately 3m UK power cable, two custom-printed graphics and a heavy-duty wheeled carry case. Extended-height frames are supplied with an additional box containing the extension components.

Is the frame aluminium or PVC?
The current system uses a white modular PVC frame with a depth of 120mm. It replaces the previous aluminium standard and premium frame options.

Is the lightbox printed on both sides?
Yes. Two printed graphics are included as standard. You can use the same artwork on both sides or supply a different design for each side.

What is an SEG graphic?
SEG stands for Silicone Edge Graphic. A flexible silicone strip is sewn around the fabric and pressed into the frame channel. This tensions the graphic and creates a smooth surface without visible clips or eyelets.

How is the lightbox assembled?
The numbered frame sections connect using a clip system, so no tools are required. The lighting and power adapter are already fitted inside the frame. Once assembled, each fabric graphic is pressed into the channel around the frame. Larger sizes are heavier and may be easier to assemble with assistance.

Does the lightbox include a plug?
Yes. It includes an approximately 3m power cable with a fitted UK plug. Power-linking cables are also supplied for connecting compatible frame sections.

Can several lightboxes be used together?
Yes. Multiple units can be arranged side by side to create a wider illuminated display. Contact SM1 before ordering if you are planning a linked arrangement so the sizes, artwork and power requirements can be checked.

What type of artwork works best?
Photographs, gradients, detailed imagery and designs using a varied colour palette generally work well. Large areas of one flat colour may make minor differences in edge lighting more noticeable. Avoid thin borders or design elements that depend on an exact, equal distance from every edge. Fabric can move slightly during printing, finishing and fitting.

Will Pantone colours be matched exactly?
The dye-sublimation printing process uses CMYK colours rather than direct Pantone inks. Pantone colours must therefore be converted to an appropriate CMYK equivalent, and an exact Pantone match cannot be guaranteed.

Can the graphics be replaced?
Yes. Replacement graphics can be ordered without purchasing another frame. Confirm the frame width and whether it is the standard or extended height before ordering. Replacement graphics are supplied individually, so order two if you want to change both sides.

Can the graphics be washed?
Remove the graphics from the electrical frame before cleaning. Wash at 30°C without detergent and allow them to dry completely before refitting or storing.

Is the lightbox suitable for outdoor use?
No. The frame, printed graphics and electrical components are designed for indoor use only.

Can I create the artwork in Canva?
Canva may not be suitable because these are large graphics that must follow precisely sized templates. Canva's maximum document dimensions may also prevent you from working at full size. Contact SM1 before starting in Canva. We can advise whether it is suitable for your chosen size or help prepare the final print-ready artwork.

Can SM1 check or design my artwork?
Yes. SM1 can check supplied files and advise if corrections are required. We can also create both lightbox graphics using your branding, images and messaging. Artwork corrections and design services may be chargeable. Any costs will be confirmed before work begins.
