Which banner size should I choose?
Measure the space between the scaffold poles and confirm the available height before ordering. The 1 × 1.36m option provides a square 1 × 1m visible design area once the pole pockets are allowed for.
Are the pole pockets included within the stated size?
Yes. The top and bottom pockets form part of the overall height; they are not added outside it. This means the visible design area is shorter than the complete banner.
What size scaffold poles will the pockets fit?
The pockets are made to a 60mm diameter, allowing them to fit over a standard scaffold pole. Check the pole diameter and installation arrangement before ordering.
Which material should I choose?
Standard PVC is suitable for general single-sided scaffold banners. Premium PVC provides a heavier-duty option. Double-Sided Block-Out PVC is required when separate artwork must be printed on both sides. AirMesh Polyester and Fabric Mesh Premium allow more air to pass through the graphic, while Flag Polyester provides a lighter fabric finish.
What is the difference between AirMesh Polyester and Fabric Mesh Premium?
Both have an open construction that allows airflow. AirMesh Polyester is the lighter option with a more open weave. Fabric Mesh Premium is heavier and stronger, with a denser printed appearance.
Can Scaffold Banners be printed on both sides?
Yes. Choose Double-Sided Block-Out PVC when artwork must appear on both sides without one design showing through the other. Separate artwork can be supplied for each side.
Will a single-sided fabric banner show through on the reverse?
Some of the print will be visible through lightweight fabric materials, and the design will appear mirrored from the back. Choose Double-Sided Block-Out PVC if clearly readable artwork is required on both sides.
How are the pole pockets finished?
PVC banners have high-frequency welded pole pockets and trimmed sides. Fabric banners have stitched pole pockets and hemmed sides.
Can eyelets be added?
Yes. Eyelets can be added through the join or pocket on one side when required. Tell SM1 when ordering so the correct position can be confirmed.
Are scaffold poles included?
No. This product includes the printed banner only. Scaffold poles, fittings and installation are not supplied.
Who should install the banner?
Scaffold banners should be fitted by a competent person who can assess the structure, fixing method and site conditions. Adding a banner can affect wind loading, so the scaffolding must be suitable for the installation.
Can Scaffold Banners be left outside?
They are intended for outdoor display, but suitability depends on the selected material, installation and site exposure. Inspect the banner and fixings regularly and remove it if damage or unsafe conditions develop.
Is there a wind-speed rating?
No specific wind rating is provided for this product. Safe use depends on the banner's size, material, fixing method, scaffold structure and location.
Can you produce a custom size?
Yes. Bespoke Scaffold Banners and longer scaffold wraps can be produced. Contact SM1 with the required overall width, height, material and number of printed sides.
How should I measure for a bespoke banner?
Measure the complete finished banner size, including the top and bottom pole pockets. Also check the pole diameter, required visible design area and whether any eyelets are needed.
Can I create the artwork in Canva?
Canva may not be suitable because the artwork must allow for the top and bottom pole pockets and may need a specialist template. If you plan to use Canva, contact SM1 before starting. We can advise whether it is suitable or help prepare the final print-ready artwork.
Can SM1 check or design my artwork?
Yes. SM1 can check supplied files and advise if corrections are needed. We can also create a complete Scaffold Banner design using your branding, contact details and project information. Artwork corrections and design work may be chargeable.
