What is included with the SEG Fabric Lightbox Counter?
The complete counter includes numbered PVC frame components, integrated LED lighting, a UK power cable with transformer, black wooden countertop, two custom-printed backlit graphics and a carry bag.

What does SEG mean?
SEG stands for Silicone Edge Graphic. A narrow silicone strip is sewn around each fabric graphic and pressed into the channel around the frame. This tensions the fabric and creates a smooth printed surface without visible clips or fixings.

Is the counter printed on both sides?
Yes. Two separate backlit fabric graphics are included, providing an illuminated display on the front and rear. Both sides can use the same design or different artwork. Supply and clearly label both designs when ordering.

Does the counter need an electrical supply?
Yes. The integrated LEDs require access to a UK mains socket. A UK power cable with a built-in transformer is supplied. Plan the counter's position carefully so the power cable can be routed safely without creating a trip hazard.

How is the counter assembled?
The numbered PVC parts connect using push-fit fixings. Once the frame and countertop are assembled, each silicone-edged graphic is pressed into the corresponding frame channel. The counter can normally be assembled by one person in under five minutes without tools.

How do I fit the fabric graphics?
Begin by pressing the silicone edging into the frame corners, then work gradually along each side. Avoid fitting one complete edge before positioning the other corners, as this can pull the graphic out of alignment. Make sure the fabric is evenly tensioned and that the silicone edge is fully inserted around the frame.

Can the graphics be changed?
Yes. Replacement graphics can be supplied without new hardware. This allows the counter to be updated for different campaigns, events or branding. Replacement graphics must be produced for the same SEG Fabric Lightbox Counter frame to ensure the silicone edging fits correctly.

Can I use graphics produced for another lightbox counter?
Not necessarily. Lightbox frames can use different graphic dimensions, channel depths and silicone-edge sizes. Provide the exact hardware details before ordering replacement graphics. SM1 can confirm whether your existing counter is compatible.

How much weight can be placed on the countertop?
The countertop can support up to 20kg when the weight is distributed evenly. Avoid concentrating heavy items in one area or leaning heavily against the counter.

Is the counter easy to transport?
The frame separates into individual components and packs into the supplied carry bag. The packed system measures approximately 410 × 1,300 × 114mm and weighs around 12.5kg. The fabric graphics can be folded and packed with the hardware.

Can it be used outdoors?
No. The counter contains electrical lighting and is intended for indoor use only. Keep the hardware, transformer and power cable away from water and damp conditions.

Will the colours look different when the counter is illuminated?
Backlighting can make colours appear brighter than they do on an unlit screen or standard print. Dark areas may also appear lighter when illuminated. Artwork should be prepared specifically for backlit printing. SM1 can check the design and advise if any adjustments are recommended.

Can the graphics be washed?
Yes. Remove the graphics from the frame before washing and follow the supplied fabric-care guidance. Allow them to dry completely before refitting, folding or storing. Do not allow the frame, LEDs, transformer or power cable to become wet.

How should the counter be stored?
Disconnect the counter from the mains and allow the LEDs to cool before dismantling it. Fold clean, dry graphics carefully and store all components inside the carry bag. Keep the system in a dry location and protect the graphics from sharp objects that could damage the fabric or silicone edging.

Can I create the artwork in Canva?
Canva may not be suitable because the artwork must follow a specialist template with exact graphic dimensions, bleed, safe areas and silicone-edge allowances. If you plan to use Canva, contact SM1 before starting. We can advise whether it is suitable or help prepare your design as print-ready artwork.

Can SM1 check or design my artwork?
Yes. SM1 can check supplied files and advise if corrections are required. We can also create front and rear counter graphics using your branding, logos, messages and event information. Artwork adjustments and design services may be chargeable. Any costs will be confirmed before work begins.
