Heavy Duty Banner TemplateUnzipping a folder is easy on both Apple Mac and PC. On a Mac, double-click the zipped folder or right-click and choose "Open With" > "Archive Utility." The contents will be extracted to the same location. On a PC, right-click the zipped folder and select "Extract All." Follow the prompts, choose the destination, and you'll find the unzipped folder in no time.

The Heavy-Duty Banner Frame is a freestanding steel display suitable for long-term indoor or outdoor use at events, exhibitions, developments, sports venues and business premises. Its 35mm-diameter steel tube construction provides a sturdy alternative to lighter aluminium frames that may twist or buckle.
The system includes a 3 × 1m custom-printed Mesh PVC banner, bungee ties and six ground anchor hoops. The frame is oversized to hold the graphic under tension. Choose one banner for a single-sided display or two separate banners for visibility from both directions.

What is included with the Heavy-Duty Banner Frame?
The system includes the steel frame, one or two custom-printed banners, bungee ties and six ground anchor hoops.
What is the difference between the single and double-sided options?
The single-sided option includes one printed banner fitted to one side of the frame. The double-sided option includes two separate banners, allowing the display to be viewed from both directions.
Is one banner printed on both sides?
No. Each banner is printed on one side. The double-sided system uses two separate printed banners positioned back-to-back on the frame.
What are the banner and frame sizes?
Each printed banner measures 3,000 × 1,000mm. The assembled frame is larger, measuring approximately 3,300 × 1,300mm with a depth of 690mm.
Why is the frame larger than the printed banner?
The additional space allows the banner to be tensioned within the frame using bungee ties. This keeps the graphic away from the steel tubing and distributes tension around its edges.
What is Mesh PVC?
Mesh PVC contains small openings that allow some air to pass through the material. This reduces wind pressure compared with a solid PVC banner and makes it suitable for exposed outdoor displays.
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes. The steel construction and Mesh PVC graphic are suitable for outdoor use. The frame must be assembled correctly, anchored securely and checked regularly, particularly during changing weather conditions.
Where can the ground anchor hoops be used?
The supplied hoops are intended for suitable soft ground. They are not suitable for concrete, paving or other hard surfaces. Contact SM1 before ordering if the frame will be installed on a hard surface.
Can the frame remain outside in severe weather?
No outdoor display should be treated as safe in all conditions. Inspect the frame, banners, bungees and anchors regularly, and dismantle the display if severe weather or site conditions could affect its stability.
How are the banners attached?
The banners are secured evenly around the frame using the supplied bungee ties. The ties should be fitted progressively around the graphic so the tension remains balanced.
Can I use different artwork on each side?
Yes. The two banners supplied with the double-sided system can use the same design or different artwork. Clearly label each file to show which side it is intended for.
Can I order a replacement banner without another frame?
Contact SM1 with the dimensions and details of your existing frame. We can confirm whether a compatible replacement graphic can be supplied with the correct finishing and fixing positions.
Can I create the artwork in Canva?
Canva can create large-format artwork, but the available document size may require the design to be prepared at a reduced scale. Contact SM1 before starting so we can confirm the correct dimensions and advise whether Canva is suitable.
Can SM1 check or design my artwork?
Yes. SM1 can check supplied files and advise if corrections are needed. We can also create a complete Heavy-Duty Banner Frame design using your branding, logos and messaging. Artwork adjustments and design services may be chargeable, with any costs confirmed before work begins.
