What are architectural plans?

What paper do you use?
Plans are printed on 90gsm uncoated paper. This is a practical paper choice for handling, folding, marking up and reviewing technical drawings.
Can I print from a digital file?
Yes. Please supply your plans as digital files, ideally as print-ready PDFs.
What file format should I supply?
PDF is preferred because it helps preserve scale, line weights, fonts and layout. If you have another file type, please contact us before ordering.
Do plans need to be supplied at the correct size?
Yes. Please supply your file at the required finished size, such as A3, A2, A1 or A0. This helps avoid unwanted scaling issues.
Can I print multiple pages in one set?
Yes. You can supply multi-page PDF files or separate plan files. Please name files clearly and confirm the size and quantity required for each.
Can you fold the plans?
If folding is required, please ask before ordering so we can confirm what is possible for your chosen size and quantity.
Can SM1 check my files before print?
Yes. We can check for obvious issues such as incorrect size, missing pages or very low-resolution content. We cannot verify the technical accuracy of architectural
