Which size should I choose?
Consider the available space, viewing distance and venue restrictions. Small and Medium flags suit entrances and retail settings, while Large and Extra Large flags provide greater visibility at outdoor events.

What is the difference between left-facing and right-facing?
A right-facing flag has the pole on the left of the graphic. A left-facing flag has the pole on the right. Use the artwork template that matches your chosen orientation.

What is the difference between single and double-sided printing?
Single-sided flags show approximately 80–90% of the design through the reverse, where it appears mirrored. Double-sided flags use two printed graphics with a blockout layer, allowing different or correctly orientated artwork on each side. Double-sided graphics are available in Small, Medium and Large only.

Which base do I need?
The correct base depends on the flag size and surface. Ground spikes suit soft ground such as grass, while weighted or fillable bases are suitable for hard surfaces. 

Can Feather Flags be used in windy weather?
They are suitable for winds up to Beaufort Scale 4, approximately 13–18mph. Dismantle the flag during stronger winds, heavy rain or adverse weather.

How should I clean and store the flag?
Wash the graphic at 30°C without detergent. Allow it to dry completely before folding and storing it in a clean, dry place.

Can I create the artwork in Canva?
Canva may not be suitable for this large, shaped display because the artwork must follow a specialist template and may need to be prepared at a reduced scale.
If you plan to use Canva, contact SM1 before starting. We can advise whether it is suitable for your design or help prepare the final print-ready artwork.

Can SM1 check or design my artwork?
Yes. SM1 can check supplied files and advise if corrections are needed. We can also create a complete Feather Flag design using your branding, logos, messaging and event information.
