Which size should I choose?
Small and Medium flags work well near entrances and retail displays. Large and Extra Large flags provide greater visibility at spacious outdoor venues and events.

What is the difference between left-facing and right-facing?
A right-facing flag has the pole on the left of the graphic. A left-facing flag has the pole on the right. Select the orientation that best suits your display position.

Can Fin Flags be printed on both sides?
Yes. Double-sided printing is available in Small, Medium and Large. It uses two printed graphics with a blockout layer, allowing artwork to be displayed correctly on both sides. Single-sided graphics have approximately 80–90% show-through on the reverse, where the design appears mirrored.

Which base do I need?
Choose a base that suits the flag size and ground surface. Ground spikes are intended for suitable soft ground, while weighted or fillable bases suit hard surfaces. Bases are ordered separately.

Can Fin Flags be used in windy weather?
They are suitable for winds up to Beaufort Scale 4, approximately 13–18mph. Take the flag down during stronger winds, heavy rain or adverse weather.

How should I clean and store the flag?
Wash the graphic at 30°C without detergent. Allow it to dry completely before folding and storing, and keep it away from objects that could snag the fabric.

Can I create the artwork in Canva?
Canva may not be suitable for this large, shaped display because the artwork must follow a specialist template and may need to be prepared at a reduced scale.
If you plan to use Canva, contact SM1 before starting. We can advise whether it is suitable for your design or help prepare the final print-ready artwork.

Can SM1 check or design my artwork?
Yes. SM1 can check supplied files and advise if corrections are needed. We can also create a complete Fin Flag design using your branding, logos, messaging and event information.
