What is a Case Bound book?

A Case Bound Book, also known as a Hardback Book, is like a treasure you'd find in a bookstore. Its inner text pages are skillfully bound together and securely nestled within a durable cover made of heavy-duty board, adorned with beautifully printed paper.

What size books can I print?

We offer an incredible range of standard sizes, including square and novel formats. And if you're feeling extra creative, we even have a custom-sized option available, allowing you to go as big as 300 x 300mm.

How many pages can I print in my book?

Our Case Bound Books can accommodate up to a whopping 500 printed pages. However, for the best results, we recommend a minimum of 32 pages for Case Bound books. If your project falls below this page count, our saddle stitched book option is the perfect fit.

How do I figure out how wide my spine is?

Simply let us know the number of pages you need, remembering to add four extra for the cover, and we will let you know the dimension on your quote.

Can I add any special finishes to my book?

Absolutely! Let your book shine like a star with our incredible selection of special finishes. We've got the glitzy gloss and the velvety soft touch laminations, guaranteed to make your publication stand out from the crowd. And if you're feeling extra fancy, our Scodix UV and foil finishing options will add that perfect touch of luxury and sophistication.

Our handy templates are available in Adobe InDesign and Acrobat PDF Format and the zipped folder can be downloaded to help you create your artwork to the right dimensions.

Download Templates

Unzipping a folder is easy on both Apple Mac and PC. On a Mac, double-click the zipped folder or right-click and choose "Open With" > "Archive Utility." The contents will be extracted to the same location. On a PC, right-click the zipped folder and select "Extract All." Follow the prompts, choose the destination, and you'll find the unzipped folder in no time.

  i recently requested a quotation for an A2 print print for a wedding picture, I can not recommend SM1 print enough they were helpful and there online quotation method is quick and incredibly easy to use there  was no messing around within an hour i had a quote and price they requested i send the picture via email so no need to leave the house and  i was told it will be ready to collect on  Friday  i had an email on Thursday saying my print was ready

The team at SM1 print are quick and polite and the quality of the print was was clear and beautiful

i have recommended SM1 prints to family that are waiting to get there pictures printed and i will also be back to get more printed

i had also recently used them for my table plan and table name cards and these were also brilliantly done

the pricing compared to other printing companies was below  i expected and have been quoted at other places
