What does GSM mean?
GSM stands for Grams per Square Metre and refers to the thickness of the material. The higher the GSM, the heavier and thicker the paper. We offer Business Cards from 350gsm to 450gsm which is our heaviest standard business card, measuring approximately half a 0.5mm thick. But if you're after an even thicker business card, you should definitely check out our Luxurious Triplex Business Cards.
What is the standard UK Business Card size?In the UK, the majority of Business Cards measure 55 x 85mm, which is roughly the same size as a credit card. It's a classic size that's widely recognised, appreciated and fits in a purse/wallet.
What is Scodix?
Scodix is a remarkable clear gloss raised finish that adds an extra touch of sophistication to your printed materials. This finishing technique is applied after the printing process, resulting in a beautifully raised spot varnish that adds texture and visual appeal to elements like logos on your business cards. Additionally, scodix can even be used on its own, without any accompanying printing.
Can I have round corners on my Business Cards?
Absolutely! At SM1 Print Studio, we offer an excellent option for overall round corners as part of our finishing types. This choice allows you to add a stylish and modern touch to your Business Cards, giving them a unique and eye-catching appearance.
Can you Scodix both sides?

Our handy templates are available in Adobe InDesign and Acrobat PDF Format and the zipped folder can be downloaded to help you create your artwork to the right dimensions.
Download TemplatesUnzipping a folder is easy on both Apple Mac and PC. On a Mac, double-click the zipped folder or right-click and choose "Open With" > "Archive Utility." The contents will be extracted to the same location. On a PC, right-click the zipped folder and select "Extract All." Follow the prompts, choose the destination, and you'll find the unzipped folder in no time.
